One Container + One Clear Plastic Bag


From March 30, 2009 until April 2, 2010, residents will be allowed to set out one container of garbage each week and, if needed, one clear plastic bag of garbage.

A container is defined as either a non-returnable plastic garbage bag weighing not more than 23 kilograms OR a rigid reusable container with a volume of less than 135 litres, weighing not more than 23 kilograms.

 

Bulk Goods Pick-up

Bulk Collection is provided on a seasonal, call-in basis.  Call our office at 905-546-2716 to arrange a bulk pick-up during the following weeks of: 

January 26 to April 13, 2009

July 27 to September 7, 2009

December 7, 2009 to January 4, 2010

January 26, 2010 to March 22, 2010 

Note:  Limit of 4 items per collection.  All Items, including carpet and wood must be no longer than 1.2m in length.  Items such as recliners and sofa beds must be tied so that they do not open and injure the collection crews.

Example of Bulk Items:

Carpet, sinks, toilets bowls and seats, floor lamps, furniture, mattresses and box springs, pool fitters/pumps, pool solar blankets, TV's, wood, tires.
